A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Boggy Creek Road near Lake Nona Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 1:45 p.m., involving a 2024 KTM Duke motorcycle driven by a 21-year-old Orlando man and a 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by a 72-year-old man from Kissimmee. Both vehicles were traveling southbound on Boggy Creek Road, just south of Lake Nona Boulevard — the motorcycle in the inside lane, and the Toyota in the outside lane, troopers said.

According to the FHP’s preliminary report, the driver of the Toyota Corolla attempted to make a U-turn from the outside lane, crossing into the direct path of the motorcycle. The front of the motorcycle struck the left rear area of the Corolla during the attempted turn.

The motorcyclist was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Toyota was also taken to ORMC with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol, and no additional details have been released at this time.
