OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Osceola County is inviting parents and caregivers to participate in a free educational workshop focused on youth vaping prevention, providing families with valuable information and practical tools to help protect children from the health risks associated with e-cigarettes.

The Parent and Caregiver Workshop on Youth Vaping Prevention will take place on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, from 6 to 7 p.m., at the Florida Department of Health in Osceola County, located at 1875 Fortune Road in Kissimmee.

As vaping continues to raise concerns about youth health, the workshop is designed to help parents and caregivers better understand current vaping trends among young people, recognize potential warning signs of e-cigarette use, and learn effective strategies for encouraging healthy, vape-free choices at home.

Participants will receive information about e-cigarettes, their potential health effects, and ways to support conversations with children and teenagers about the risks of vaping. The session will also provide an opportunity for parents and caregivers to ask questions, gain insight into prevention strategies, and become better equipped to address vaping-related concerns within their families.

The Florida Department of Health in Osceola County hopes the workshop will empower families through education and awareness while encouraging a proactive approach to protecting children’s health.

As an additional incentive, each participating parent or caregiver will receive a free $15 grocery certificate, according to the department’s event announcement.

Parents and caregivers interested in attending are encouraged to register in advance through the department’s online registration form.
