Universal Orlando Resort will no longer require its Team Members to be vaccinated and those who are unvaccinated will not be required to test weekly. The policy change was sent to team members after the recent Supreme Court ruling.

The original policy was in line with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Emergency Temporary Standard and stated that team members had until February 9 to be vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID-19 testing.

Universal’s vaccination policy changed after the Supreme Court struck down the vaccine or testing mandate on January 13. Team Members are still required to share their vaccination status with Universal but vaccination is not required, and providing proof of status is optional.

Universal Team Members are still encouraged to be vaccinated and currently will be paid if they have to miss work because of vaccine or booster shot side effects.
