INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/4 cups Florida blueberries
  • 1/4 cup Florida orange juice
  • 1/4 cup Florida sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup whole-wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 stick butter, softened

PREPARATION
Combine the blueberries, sugar, orange juice and cornstarch in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring until sauce thickens, then remove from heat and cool. In a mixing bowl combine oats, flour, brown sugar and butter to make the crumble. Coat a baking pan with nonstick spray and divide the crumble in half. Press half the mixture into the bottom of the pan. Pour the cooled blueberry filling over the oat mixture. Crumble the remaining oat mixture over top and press lightly to hold in place. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes or until browned. Allow to cool prior to slicing the squares.
