Players will have another shot at a billion-dollar prize as the Powerball® jackpot has surged to an estimated $1.1 billion for Monday night’s drawing, making it the fifth-largest jackpot in the game’s history. The cash value of the prize is estimated at $498.4 million.

“No ticket matched all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing, which means the excitement continues into Labor Day,” said Matt Strawn, Powerball Product Group Chair and Iowa Lottery CEO. “America has waited all year for the chance to play for a billion-dollar jackpot, and what better time than Labor Day for a $1.1 billion Powerball drawing! With just one $2 ticket, you could win it all – all while helping to support good causes close to home.”

Saturday’s Winning Numbers

The winning numbers for Saturday, August 30, were 3, 18, 22, 27, 33 and the red Powerball 17. The Power Play® multiplier was 3. While no one claimed the jackpot, there were plenty of big winners across the country:

  • Nine tickets matched all five white balls to win $1 million each. These tickets were sold in California (4), Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.

  • Three tickets included the Power Play® option, boosting their $1 million prize to $2 million. These winners were in Colorado, Indiana, and New Hampshire.

  • Additionally, 115 tickets won $50,000 prizes, and 27 tickets won $150,000 prizes.

A Growing Jackpot Run

Monday’s drawing will mark the 40th consecutive drawing since the jackpot was last won on May 31, 2025, in California. The current run is approaching the record 42 consecutive drawings set in April 2024, when a $1.326 billion jackpot was won in Oregon.

If a player wins Monday’s jackpot, they can choose between the $1.1 billion annuity, paid over 30 years with annual 5% increases, or the $498.4 million lump sum — both before taxes.
