The City of Kissimmee Parks & Recreation Department is inviting local pet owners to bring their pups to Barktoberfest, a dog swimming event happening Friday, October 11, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bob Makinson Aquatic Center.
For just $5 per dog, pets can enjoy a safe swim while owners connect with other pet lovers and explore activities and specialty vendors. Proof of current rabies vaccination is required, and all dogs will undergo an aggression check before entering.
Owners may accompany their dogs in the pool up to knee depth, but swimming is strictly for the four-legged participants.
