KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The Silver Spurs Club is preparing to welcome thousands of rodeo fans to the 156th Silver Spurs Rodeo, continuing a hometown tradition that has helped shape Osceola County for more than eight decades.

The four-day rodeo runs Thursday, February 19 through Sunday, February 22 inside the Silver Spurs Arena at Osceola Heritage Park, located at 1875 Silver Spur Lane in Kissimmee.

Recognized as one of the premier professional rodeos east of the Mississippi, the Silver Spurs Rodeo will feature all eight classic rodeo events: bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, team roping, tie-down roping, women’s breakaway roping, and steer wrestling. Fans can also enjoy performances by the iconic Silver Spurs Quadrille team and plenty of entertainment from the rodeo clowns.

Beyond the action in the arena, the event continues to serve a larger purpose. Proceeds from ticket sales support area nonprofits and community initiatives, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Midwife Bus, and education-focused programs like the Osceola County School District’s S.M.A.R.T. Bus and Teacher and School-Related Employee of the Year awards.

A Legacy of Service

Kaye Whaley, known as the “Big Boss” of the Silver Spurs Club, reflected on the organization’s impact and continued mission.

“I’m humbled by the chance to serve a club that has shaped the heart of Osceola County for 85 years,” Whaley said. “Our rodeo was built by volunteers who believed that hard work, generosity, and community could change lives, and that purpose still guides us today. We remain committed to preserving the traditions that make the Silver Spurs Rodeo a cornerstone of our hometown while supporting the nonprofits, youth programs, and families we are proud to serve. It’s an honor to help continue a legacy that belongs to all of us.”
