On a delightful Friday night, March 1st, the Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) in collaboration with the City of Kissimmee, brought its 2023-2024 Movie in the Park series to a grand close. The series concluded with a spectacular screening of “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” at Kissimmee’s scenic Lakefront Park, captivating audiences on a massive 50-foot screen.
This event, like its predecessors, offered a host of free amenities ensuring a memorable evening for attendees. The array of complimentary offerings included admission, popcorn, inflatables for the kids, creative crafts, a photo booth for capturing the night’s joy, and exciting prize giveaways, making the experience enjoyable for families and friends.
“This is KUA’s way of giving back to the community, which is part of our mission, and part of what we LOVE doing, serving the community. Where else can you go on a Friday night for free and watch a movie, enjoy some popcorn and have great activities for the kids? There are not many places you can do that for free,” Director of Corporate Communications at KUA Tiffany Henderson said before the movie Friday night.
KUA’s Movie in the Park Series has become a cherished community tradition, known for bringing together residents and visitors for evenings filled with entertainment and community spirit. The success of the event on March 1st serves as a testament to KUA and the City of Kissimmee’s commitment to fostering a vibrant, engaged, and happy community.
As the 2023-2024 series wraps up, anticipation is already building for its return. Mark your calendars, as the Movie in the Park Series is set to kick off again on the first Friday of October. This event series not only provides free entertainment but also strengthens community bonds, showcasing KUA’s dedication to enriching the lives of Kissimmee residents.
