The mo’ is on the go for BRIDG out at NeoCity just East of Kissimmee.

In the last month, officials have opened its 100,000 square-foot corporate office building and announced its first federal government sensor manufacturing contract, valued at as much as $20 million. Tuesday, it announced another government contract, this one valued at up to $7.5 million.

The Orlando Business Journal reported the few details of the deal, this one with the U.S. Air Force. The work in the semiconductor manufacturing process will take place over the next 22 months.

BRIDG shares NeoCity, currently, with imec, a Belgian nanotechnology and imaging consortium, and the NeoCity Academy, a magnet school with a curriculum full of subjects that could lead to its graduates working at NeoCity one day in high-wage technology manufacturing jobs.

The tech consortium has moved its operations into the new office building, so the original three-story facility built on site, now called the Center of NeoVation, can be used strictly for sensor technology research, production and manufacturing.
