Just like Monday, when heavy rains moved through the area and brought at least one tornado to Seminole County, be on the lookout Friday morning into the afternoon for possible strong to severe storms moving through the area.

A system that brought rough thunderstorms and a few tornadoes to Mississippi and south Georgia this morning and prompted tornado watches in the Panhandle this afternoon will likely bring heavy rain, winds and lightning to Osceola County Friday afternoon, with a small risk of hail and tornadic activity.

Scattered rain is forecast to begin by about 9 a.m. locally, with the heaviest of the weather coming through from 1 to 5 p.m. Lighter rain could linger into the evening hours.
