The City of Kissimmee’s Public Works & Engineering Department completed two resurfacing projects on Emmett Street and Rose Avenue in Downtown Kissimmee during May.
Both projects were completed with a cost of $174,000 and funded by the revenue generated by the Red-Light Camera Program. Due to COVID-19, some of the street resurfacing projects had to be rescheduled and will be announced in the near future.
The Red-Light Camera program was implemented to change driver behavior and reduce violations; any revenue generated is committed to repaving and resurfacing streets and making transportation improvements. This allows the City to use its traditional funds for additional transportation improvements.|

Ciudad Completa Dos Proyectos de Asfaltado en Downtown Kissimmee
El Departamento de Obras Públicas e Ingeniería de la Ciudad de Kissimmee completó dos proyectos de asfaltado en la Calle Emmett y en la Avenida Rose en Downtown Kissimmee durante el mes de Mayo.
Ambos proyectos fueron completados con un costo total de $174,000 y se financiaron con los ingresos generados por el Programa de Cámaras de Luz Roja. Debido al COVID-19, algunos de los proyectos de asfaltado fueron pospuestos y serán anunciados en un futuro cercano.
