ST. CLOUD, Fla. — The City of St. Cloud paid tribute to one of its most beloved residents during Thursday evening’s City Council meeting, as Deputy Mayor Ken Gilbert presented a proclamation officially declaring June 11, 2026, as June Renick Day.
The honor recognizes Renick’s lifetime of service to the community and the countless lives she has impacted through decades of dedication, compassion, and volunteerism. A former teacher with the Osceola School District, Renick has long been known for putting others first, serving families and individuals throughout St. Cloud through organizations such as A Place for Grace, local ministries, community outreach efforts, quilt-making projects, and swim instruction for generations of local children.
During the presentation, Mayor Chris Robertson shared a personal memory, recalling how Renick taught him to swim as a child at the Polynesian Inn hotel pool—years before St. Cloud had its own public swimming pool. The story served as a reminder of the many ways Renick’s influence has reached across generations of residents.
Whether in the classroom, through her faith, or by helping neighbors in need, Renick has spent years quietly making a difference in the lives of others. Her servant’s heart, unwavering commitment to the community, and willingness to help wherever needed have made her a cherished figure throughout St. Cloud.
The proclamation stands as a fitting tribute to a woman whose legacy can be measured not only by her years of service, but by the countless people she has inspired, encouraged, taught, and cared for along the way.
Positively Osceola joins the City of St. Cloud in congratulating June Renick on this well-deserved honor and thanking her for a lifetime of service to the community she loves.
