The City of St. Cloud is inviting the community to their official grand opening of the new Florida Avenue Multi-Purpose Trail this morning, Saturday, June 15. The event will kick off at 8:30 a.m. with a Trail Trot, starting at Lakeshore. Participants can walk, jog, run, or cycle along the trail to the downtown area.
There will be a water stop along the route, and plenty of shade to keep everyone cool. Trail Trot participants will also receive an event T-shirt while supplies last.
At 9:30 a.m., a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at Florida and 9th Street. Following the ceremony, swag bags will be handed out, which include discount cards for Madilynn’s Coffee Shop, located one block away at Florida and 10th Street.
After the ribbon cutting, attendees are invited to visit the St. Cloud Downtown Farmers Market, which runs during the summer from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. every Saturday. The market offers a variety of fresh produce, local goods, vendors and more.
