Backpacks, books, and big smiles will take center stage today,Friday, July 25, as Osceola County District 4 Commissioner Cheryl Grieb joins forces with the Osceola Library System to host a Back to School Giveaway at Hart Memorial Library in downtown Kissimmee.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and is open exclusively to Osceola County residents. The first 400 K–12th grade students in attendance will receive free backpacks and school supplies, while supplies last. Students must be present and accompanied by a parent or guardian to receive supplies.

In addition to school essentials, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the many resources offered by the Osceola Library System. Families can also sign up for a free library card on-site during the event.

“We want to make sure our students start the school year prepared and excited to learn,” said Commissioner Cheryl Grieb. “This is a great opportunity for families to come together, take advantage of free resources, and connect with our local libraries.”
