The Osceola Council on Aging’s March for Meals 5K, sponsored by Kissimmee Utility Authority, was a big success on Saturday, March 13th at the Kissimmee Lakefront with over 300 participants and 22 teams joining in to raise money for Osceola’s leading advocate for seniors and those experience food insecurity.

Many of the event participants came dressed in their “best green” for the annual 5K, which raised over $25,000 according to event organizers.

As part of the March for Meals event a number of fun team awards were given out:

Osceola County Tax Collector Bruce Vicker’s Office
Most Spirited Team: Luck Charmers
Best Female Runner: Serina Cardosa
Best Male Runner: Oscar Cruz

Congratulations to all who came out to support fighting hunger in Osceola County including Kissimmee Utility Authority, the event’s title sponsor, City of Kissimmee, Toho Water Authority, United Healthcare, Florida Blue, Magic Development, Infill Consulting Services, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, and so many more who helped made the event happen.
