No matter how you perceive the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s clear that there has been a far reaching negative effect on families, individuals, and businesses.

Local non-profit organizations, the private sector, and the public sector have taken notice and have stepped as best they can to ensure that needs are met during these uncertain times.

Osceola County, the City of St. Cloud, and City of Kissimmee have worked hard to help during these uncertain times.

There is assistance available from the Emergency Economic Relief Grant Program that uses $3.2 million from the CARES Act. Just go to www.weveopenedsafely.com/grant-program/. Applications close July 31 at 5 p.m.

Another assistance program is focused on housing assistance again using CARES Act funding. That will be available beginning August 3, 2020 at 8 a.m. through August 6, 2020 at 8 a.m. at Housing.Osceola.org.

Any County residents (including in St. Cloud and Kissimmee) impacted financially by the COVID19 pandemic may qualify for up to $5,000 in rent/mortgage payments. If you have questions regarding the program, please call 407-742-8403 or visit Osceola.org and look for COVID-19 assistance.
