The Education Foundation’s 3rd annual Clay Shooting event will take place this weekend at the Triple N Shooting Range  in east Osceola County, but the event, which helps raise funds for the non-profit organization that supports teachers, support staff, and students in the Osceola School District, has undergone a name change. The clay shooting event has been renamed as the Ken Smith Clays 4 Kids Sporting Clay Classic.

“Our Board of Directors and staff thought it was only fitting to rename this event after the Foundation’s first President and our good friend Mr. Ken Smith. Ken’s passion for the students never faded, even after his retirement, and this is just one of the ways we plan to honor his legacy,” said Kerry Avery, Executive Director of the Education Foundation Osceola County. “We are excited to host this event, now in its third year, and invite those who would like to participate to visit our website.”

The Education Foundation Osceola County, which was founded in 1985, strives to bring people and resources together to support and enhance public education in Osceola County. This event will raise funds to support the six programs the Education Foundation provides to the students, teachers, and families of Osceola, at no cost to them.

With various community sponsors, this event is the perfect place for sportsmen to show off their skills while helping raise funds for the Foundation. For more information or to purchase a team, log onto www.foundationosceola.org.
