KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Chrome will shine a little brighter and engines will rumble a little louder on Saturday, March 14, as Old Town celebrates the 36th anniversary of its iconic Saturday Nite Classic Car Show and Cruise — a tradition that has become part of the heartbeat of Osceola County.

Recognized as America’s longest-running weekly car show, the Saturday night showcase has rolled on without interruption for 36 straight years. What started as a gathering of classic car enthusiasts has grown into a Central Florida institution, drawing generations of families, collectors, and visitors to U.S. Highway 192 in Kissimmee.

The anniversary celebration will feature show-quality 1985 and older hot rods, street rods, and antique vehicles lining Old Town’s brick streets beginning at 11 a.m. Guests can stroll through rows of meticulously restored classics throughout the day before the highly anticipated cruise down Main Street begins at 8:30 p.m.

The celebration continues through 11 p.m., with live bands performing on the Main Street stage and energetic streetmosphere entertainment adding to the nostalgic atmosphere.

“We are so excited to celebrate this year’s milestone 36th Anniversary Car Show & Cruise and recognize the car owners who have helped keep Old Town’s title of America’s longest running weekly car show,” said Thearon Scurlock, Vice President and General Manager of Old Town. “Old Town continues to boast great, free family-friendly events and is perfect for car enthusiasts and admirers of all ages.”

For many in the community, the weekly cruise is more than just a car show. Families return year after year, children grow up waving as vintage Chevys and Fords glide past, and collectors proudly preserve automotive history one polished detail at a time.

Best of all, in an era when ticket prices continue to climb and entertainment often comes at a premium, Old Town’s signature Saturday Nite Classic Car Show and Cruise remains completely free — both for the proud owners showcasing their vintage rides and for the families lining Main Street to take it all in. The no-cost tradition underscores Old Town’s enduring commitment to keeping community-centered, family-friendly experiences open and accessible to everyone, proving that some of Central Florida’s best nights out don’t require a ticket — just a love for chrome, horsepower, and hometown pride.

As Old Town celebrates this 36-year milestone, one thing remains clear: while cars may get older, this Saturday night tradition only gets stronger — continuing to bring together car lovers and community members under the glow of Main Street lights in Kissimmee.
