Florida continued its recent surge of positive cases and increased number of coronavirus-related deaths with the state’s Saturday report, showing 10,383 new cases and 95 new deaths. The new total of positive cases in the state of Florida moves to 254,511, while the new death toll rose to 4,197, or 2% of all cases.

In Osceola County there were 203 new positive cases and 1,154 negative test results, bringing the report’s positivity rate to 15%. The daily positivity rate in Osceola is one trend to watch, as it has dropped over the last five days.

Since March 1, 2o20 Osceola County has had 3861 confirmed cases from testing 34,277. That brings Osceola County’s positivity rate since March to 11.3%.

There are currently 7,159 hospitalizations related to the coronavirus in the state, with 199 in Osceola County. Across Osceola County there are 866 hospital beds, with 199 currently still available (18.69%). In the ICU area in Osceola , there are 99 beds, 7 still available, or 6.6%.
