TALLAHASSEE, Fla.  — Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced Friday the appointment of Jolene Sheive to the School Board of Osceola County, adding a longtime community leader and business professional to the governing body overseeing one of Central Florida’s fastest-growing school districts.

Sheive serves as a broker at Legacy Realty of Central Florida and is the owner of Stadium Place Administration. In addition to her professional work in the real estate and business sectors, she has been actively engaged in public service throughout Osceola County.

A resident of Osceola County for more than two decades, Sheive currently serves as a Planning Commissioner, helping guide decisions that shape the community’s growth and long-term development. Her civic leadership also includes serving as Vice Chair of the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce, as well as holding membership and board roles with the Osceola County Association of Realtors, the Osceola Chamber of Commerce, and the Osceola County Education Foundation.

The appointment places Sheive on the School Board of Osceola County at a time when the district continues to experience sustained enrollment growth and increased demand for educational infrastructure, programming, and workforce development initiatives.

The School Board of Osceola County is responsible for setting district policy, approving budgets, and ensuring academic standards are upheld for students across the county’s public schools.

Governor DeSantis’ announcement was made in Tallahassee on February 13.
