On Sunday’s Florida Department of Health COVID-19 update, health officials reported 15,300 new COVID-19 cases, a new record for the state. Florida also reported 45 new coronavirus-related deaths, none being from Osceola.

Osceola added 307 new confirmed COVIS-19 cases, with 3,289 tests returning as negative, bringing a positivity rate of 11.2 in the recent update. Osceola County has reported 4,167 cases since March 1, 2020, with a total of 36,358 people tested, bringing a total positivity rate of 11.5%

In the State of Florida there are currently 4,970 adult ICU rooms, with 1,161 still available – or, 18.9% availability.  In Osceola County there are 93 ICU beds, 35 that are available – or, 27.34% available.

There are 7,459 individuals currently hospitalized due to a coronavirus-related illness in Florida, 206 from Osceola County. Miami-Dade has the highest number of coronavirus hospitalizations with 1,677.
