Florida troopers arrested 26-year-old Kabir Richard Ramnarine at the Apollo Inn, in Kissimmee, Sunday night after he fled the scene of the fatal accident that resulted in the death of his wife.

Around 3:30 am Sunday, May 19, 2019, Kabir Ramnarine was driving a 2019 Toyota northbound on San Lorenzo Rd. near Cortez Rd. in Kissimmee when he lost control of his car causing it to leave the roadway and hitting a sign. The vehicle then came to a stop after the right side of the Toyota collided into a tree killing his wife. According to the Florida Highway Patrol the driver, Kabir Ramnarine then fled the scene on foot.

An arrest warrant was filed and signed on May 19, 2019, shortly after the accident took place for the arrest of Kabir Ramnarine and the arrest was made at the Apollo Inn, in Kissimmee with the aid of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at 10:51 PM that night.

Ramnarine was arrested for leaving the scene of a fatal accident, driving while license was revoked, and for vehicular homicide. He is being held at the Osceola County Jail, on no bond.
