The FWC team recently rescued a stranded manatee on the side of the road in Crystal River Florida after a storm passed through the area. The question of course is how did a manatee end up on dry land?

During high tide, the manatee was most likely able to swim near the side of the road in the rising waters, but when the waters receded, it found itself unable to move back to safe and deeper waters.

The FWC staff reached out to Seaworld Orlando for help with the endangered manatee, which of course they did. The manatee was taken to SeaWorld where it is being cared for.
