Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has rescinded an order he issued in March requiring people traveling from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut to Florida to self-quarantine or isolate for 14 days. At the time of the order from Florida’s Governor, New York was the epicenter of the pandemic.

Currently, anyone traveling to New York from Florida must either file electronically by filling out an online travel form, or complete a travel form before leaving their airline’s gate. Health officials and contact tracers reach out to the Florida visitor on a daily basis, making sure the visitor from a hotspot state, self quarantines for 14 days.

The new order signed by Governor DeSantis also eliminates requirements for when restaurant employees should be kept from working because of coronavirus concerns.
