The Omni Orlando Resort at Championsgate was transformed into a dazzling and inspiring venue for the Guardian ad Litem Foundation of Osceola County’s 6th Annual Gala: “A Starry Starry Night” on Saturday night.
The enchanting evening brought together dedicated individuals and supporters who share a common goal – advocating for the well-being of children in need. With heartfelt speeches, an inspirational “I am the child” video, LIVE casino play, and numerous fundraising opportunities, the well-attended gala left a profound impact on all those in attendance.
The Guardian ad Litem Foundation of Osceola County is dedicated to advocating for the best interests of children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned in Osceola County. Their mission and passion is to provide these children with a voice in the court system and ensure they find safe and loving homes. The organization’s annual gala is a cornerstone of their fundraising efforts, allowing them to continue their life-changing essential work.
The gala’s program, emceed by Keith Ronan from Positively Osceola, opened with an invocation from Reverend Mary Lee Downey, CEO of Hope Partnership, followed by the singing of the National Anthem sung by Luisana Peraza, who teaches and coaches girls wresting at Harmony High School.
Featured keynote speakers, including Guardian ad Litem Foundation of Osceola County’s President Wanda Linscott, and a young woman who shared her personal journey as a mother, highlighting the impact the organization has had on her life and the lives of her children.
“A Starry Starry Night” was not just a night of reflection but also a night of celebration. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner, took to the dance floor, enjoyed an exciting Vegas-style casino, bid on silent auction and raffle items, and together, celebrated the progress made in the lives of the children served by the foundation.
Fundraising efforts at “A Starry Starry Night” were a resounding success with generous donors contributed to the cause, enabling the Guardian ad Litem Foundation to continue advocating for children in the Osceola County area.
