A fatal head-on crash took place Monday afternoon near Poinciana leaving two dead and two seriously injured.

The fatal crash was reported around 1:05 p.m. on Poinciana Boulevard, south of Reaves Road after a 21-year-old Kissimmee man who was driving his car southbound traveled into the northbound lane striking another vehicle head-on. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene, and one of his two passengers in the car was ejected from the vehicle and later died at Osceola Regional Medical Center.

His other passenger, a 6-year-old girl, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and is in stable condition at Arnold Palmer Hospital.

The 33-year-old driver of the 2nd car, which was an SUV, sustained serious injuries. No one in the southbound vehicle was wearing seat restraints. The man in the 2nd vehicle was wearing his seat restraint. According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash is under investigation.
