On Friday, March 15, 2019, around 10:30 p.m. the St. Cloud Police Department responded to a five-vehicle crash shutting down Old Canoe Creek Road from Capital Boulevard to Notle Road. This devastating accident is to be believed the result of a domestic violence incident.

According to authorities, Andric Barksdale, age 34, rammed his own vehicle into his girlfriend’s car which had several passengers in it, causing a chain reaction resulting in the loss of one innocent driver’s life.

St. Cloud Police said the argument between the couple possibly started in Orange County, then Barksdale followed his girlfriend into Osceola County where the car crash took place.

One person was killed and several others have serious injuries, police said. There is no word from the authorities as to which vehicle the victim was in and have yet to release the names of the individuals involved in the crash.

Andric Barksdale was charged with vehicular manslaughter and three counts of aggravated battery.

Old Canoe Creek Road remained closed through most of early Saturday morning as homicide investigators were still on scene. Both directions reopened just after 10 a.m. Saturday, police said.
