ORLANDO, Fla. — For the first time in the history of Halloween Horror Nights, the legendary Hellraiser franchise is coming to life in an all-new haunted house at Universal Orlando Resort, giving horror fans the chance to step into the nightmarish world of Pinhead and the Cenobites.
Announced by Universal on June 30, the new attraction will be inspired by the first three Hellraiser films, transporting guests into a terrifying realm where pain and pleasure collide. The haunted house will also debut simultaneously at Universal Studios Hollywood as part of this year’s Halloween Horror Nights event.
Guests will begin their journey by encountering the infamous Lament Configuration puzzle box, unknowingly unleashing the sinister Cenobites led by Pinhead. As they navigate the haunted attraction, visitors will come face-to-face with iconic scenes and characters from Hellraiser (1987), Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988), and Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992).
According to Universal, the immersive experience will recreate some of the franchise’s most memorable moments, including Frank Cotton’s attic, the labyrinthine corridors of Hell, and other horrifying locations inhabited by grotesque Cenobites determined to claim unsuspecting souls. The attraction is designed to capture the unsettling atmosphere and graphic horror that made the Clive Barker-created series a cult classic.
The announcement marks one of the most anticipated additions in Halloween Horror Nights history, as Hellraiser has long been one of the most requested horror properties among fans of the annual event.
Halloween Horror Nights returns to Universal Orlando Resort on select nights from August 28 through November 1, celebrating its 35th year with an expanding lineup of haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment, and themed food and merchandise. Additional haunted house announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
