OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Hope Partnership is celebrating a major boost to its mission after being named one of just 10 nonprofit organizations selected to receive a 2025 grant from the Universal Orlando Foundation, funding that will help expand the organization’s Hope Cares Day Programming.

The announcement was made during Universal Orlando’s annual Celebration of Giving event, where community partners from across Central Florida were recognized for their impact. In 2025, the Foundation awarded more than $1.5 million in grants, part of a record-breaking year that includes $3.2 million donated overall to nonprofit organizations serving the region.

Hope Partnership’s Hope Cares Day Programming focuses on providing critical daytime services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, including access to showers, meals, and essential support services designed to restore dignity and stability.

“The Universal Orlando Foundation has long been a champion for Central Florida nonprofits, and their support makes a real difference for families in our community,” said Rev. Mary Lee Downey, CEO of Hope Partnership. “Through this award, Hope Cares isn’t just expanding access to showers, meals, and essential services — we’re extending hope and dignity to even more of our neighbors.”

According to Downey, the grant will allow Hope Partnership to serve hundreds more individuals each year, strengthening its ability to meet growing community needs.

Universal Orlando’s Celebration of Giving highlights organizations that are making measurable impacts across Central Florida, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to supporting programs that address housing instability, hunger, and access to critical resources.

For Hope Partnership, the recognition and funding mark an important step forward in expanding services and continuing its mission to uplift vulnerable neighbors throughout the region.
