Those who enjoyed and miss the Illuminations show at Epcot have a presentation of sight and sound to take in as the park closes each evening.
“Epcot Forever” debuted in October and celebrates the past, present and future of Epcot. The new show features fireworks, music, lasers and colorful glowing kites flying above and around the World Showcase Lagoon. It will be performed into 2020, bridging the gap the park’s next nighttime spectacular, “HarmonioUS.”
Renditions of Epcot music will take guests back and stoke memories from the park’s history while offering glimpses of the future of Epcot and its new attractions and experiences coming as part of a transformation already underway.
“Epcot Forever” exemplifies the park’s founding principles – innovation, exploration, imagination and celebration. The Epcot story plays out to an orchestral soundtrack set to colorful pyrotechnics. Conductor and composer Don Harper produced new arrangements of classic Epcot tunes wound through the show. In one sequence, uplifting music from Soarin’ Around the World cues LED kites to crisscross the sky in a kaleidoscopic effect. Guests also will recognize cherished Epcot music from the past, including the “Tapestry of Nations” parade.
Approaching its dramatic conclusion, the show pivots from the park’s familiar music to a new verse of “One Little Spark” that transitions to the finale that brightens the sky one last time with fireworks and special effects.
Make a point to experience “Epcot Forever” soon… we think you’ll agree. It’s Positively Amazing!
