The Kissimmee Fire Department will participate in the “Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters” event from September 27 through October 4, 2020, to pay tribute to fallen firefighters nationwide.
This is an annual event sponsored by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to recognize and honor those firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
These are America’s fallen heroes. With the National Fire Academy unable to have their annual Fallen Firefighter Memorial Weekend due to the pandemic, this is a way for departments to remember those who have died in the line of duty, and as Kissimmee Fire Chief Jim Walls has said, We must never forget their sacrifices.
Positively Osceola thanks all our community’s firefighters for what the do everyday to protect the citizens of our community, and we thank all our first responders for making a positive difference in Osceola County.
