KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Young swimmers can trade their fins for a mermaid tail during the City of Kissimmee’s Mermaid Adventure swim class on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Bob Makinson Aquatic Center.
Designed for children ages 6 to 12, the supervised class gives participants an opportunity to wear a real mermaid tail while learning special swimming techniques in a fun and encouraging environment.
The unique aquatic experience is intended to help young swimmers build confidence in the water while creating magical and unforgettable memories.
For safety, participants must already feel comfortable in the water, be able to float independently and swim short distances without assistance.
Registration is $15 per participant. Space may be limited, and advance registration is encouraged.
The Bob Makinson Aquatic Center is located in Kissimmee. Families can learn more and register at kissimmee.gov/swimlessons.
