Unfortunately, not everyone was celebrating and focusing on the good in our community on Christmas Day as Osceola County Sheriff’s Office had to respond to 103 Montclair Way in Kissimmee after a woman called about the possible shooting of her boyfriend Robert Gray, by a guest of a neighbor, according to the Osceola Sheriff’s Office.

When deputies arrived on the scene the alleged shooter, Jonathan Velasquez, was still present and was secured for questioning. The victim, Robert Gray was transported to Poinciana Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Velasquez was transported to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office where he cooperated with the investigation during questioning.

Velasquez, who Osceola Sheriff’s Office believe was visiting Gray’s neighbor and was from Mount Dora, said he overheard arguing coming from the neighbor’s house. Fearing the argument would escalate he went upstairs and got his gun. When he to the backyard, he saw the woman slap the man then go into the house. Velasquez then went over to the neighbor’s house and confronted Gray. When Gray approached him, Valasquez shot him.
