On August 2, 2018 a man who had posted his vehicle for sale on the internet, was contacted by two men interested in test driving his vehicle. The victim agreed and met up with the buyers/suspects at the Family Dollar Store at 102 S. John Young Parkway in Kissimmee. After the finishing the test drive, one of the suspects pulled out a handgun from his waistband, and ordered the victim away from the vehicle. The two male suspects then fled the scene in the car. The victim was not injured during the incident.

The vehicle was found, unoccupied on Ernest Street a short time later by the Kissimmee Police Department. Video surveillance shows the two men running west on Ernest Street after they parked the stolen car.
