Kissimmee Utility Authority‘s Round-Up program reached 4,000 customers earlier this year. The money raised goes to its Good Neighbor Utility Assistance Fund to help individuals in need pay their utility bill, which will likely become a bigger community need in this time of economic crisis due to the coronavirus.

Launched in 2013, the program gathers voluntary contributions from participating customers by “rounding up” the cent portion their monthly bills to the next dollar. A bill of $110.73 would be rounded up to $111.00, with the additional 27 cents going to the assistance fund. KUA normally matches the donations dollar-for-dollar, but through June 30 will make it a 2-for-1 match, meaning $3 will go to help those most in need.

The average customer participating in Kissimmee Round-Up contributes about 50 cents per month, or six dollars per year. To participate, contact KUA at 407-933-9800 or enroll online.

Thank you to KUA customers for making a small effort to help those in this time of great need, and making a positive difference in our community!
