The City of Kissimmee is hosting its annual Back to School Jam at the Chambers Park Community Center this Saturday July 27, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Chambers Park is located at at 2380 N. Smith St. in Kissimmee. This community event is designed to support families by providing free school supplies to students from kindergarten through 12th grade, helping to ease the financial burden of preparing for the new school year.
Each child attending will receive a backpack filled with essential school items while supplies last. The event will feature activities including a live DJ, a 360-photo booth, a game truck, a Fun Spot with ring toss games, a kids zone, and bike raffles.
“Our goal is to ensure children have access to the necessary tools for a successful academic year, promoting educational equity and fostering community support,” said Parks and Recreation Director Steve Lackey. “This event also serves to strengthen community pride and solidarity among residents and local businesses who generously contribute to its success,” Lackey added.
