Kristen Nicole Nash left her home in St. Cloud on Friday to meet someone she had met on the internet, Police have said.
According to officials the 16 year-old’s mother explained to police that she and her daughter had exchanged text messages that morning, and that Kristen told her mother that she was on her way to school and that she loved her.
The mother followed up with another text to Kristen, there was no reply as her phone had been turned off, police said. Kirsten’s mother went to the school but was told that Kristen had never shown up there, causing the mother to report her as missing.
During the police investigation Kirsten’s father explained that his daughter told her brother that she was considering traveling to the Washington, D.C., or the Maryland area to visit a friend she had recently met online.
The father also informed the police of a second phone number that Kirsten had, and that she had also removed $260 from her savings account at an ATM in St. Cloud, according to police.
Kristen is described as 4 feet 11 inches tall with brown hair. She is possibly driving a white 2011 Ford Ranger, with Florida plate GIS I52.
