About 13,099 pounds of Home Run Inn frozen meat Pizza is being recalled because it might be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically metal, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has announced.

The recall is only for the 33.5 oz  “Home run Inn Chicago’s Premium Pizzeria Deluxe Sausage Classic Pizza,” with a best by date of Dec. 3, 2022.

The problem was discovered when consumers reported that they found metal in the pizza.

There have been no confirmed reports of injuries or adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

Home Run Inn has nine Chicago pizzerias and offers frozen pizza in over 35 states.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. Additionally, distributors and retailers are urged not to sell these products. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
