Osceola County goes into Tuesday night with 256 reported cases of coronavirus, up 15 from Monday evening’s Florida Department of Health report.

Tuesday morning, the DOH lists 197 cases among residents of Kissimmee, 42 from St. Cloud, 5 from Celebration, one each from Kindred, and now Poinciana, Reunion and Harmony (the first time those three areas had listed cases), and two with missing data.

The state now lists 71 hospitalizations, but for the first time the DOH listed some information regarding those on its statistical dashboard:

“Hospitalizations” is a count of all laboratory confirmed cases in which an inpatient hospitalization occurred at any time during the course of illness. These people may no longer be hospitalized. This number does not represent the number of COVID-19 positive persons currently hospitalized. We do not have a figure for that information at this time.

The state of Florida now reports 14,747 cases statewide, representing 1,118 new cases reported Tuesday.
