The City of Kissimmee held a special meeting Tuesday night, in the Commission Chambers at Kissimmee City Hall to commemorate the start of a new term and to swear-in the city’s newly elected officials. The meeting also included the official certification of the November 5, 2024, election results for Commission Seats #1, #3, and #5.

The ceremony featured the swearing-in of newly elected officials:

  • Noel Ortiz for Commission Seat #1
  • Carlos Alvarez III for Commission Seat #3
  • Jackie Espinosa, sworn in as Mayor-Commissioner for Seat #5

The event also paid tribute to outgoing leaders Mayor Olga Gonzalez and Vice Mayor Olga Castaño, honoring their years of dedicated service. Both were recognized for their leadership and contributions to the Kissimmee community. Looking ahead, the newly formed Commission will convene in January to refine the City’s strategic plan, focusing on goals for the next fiscal year and setting a vision for the city’s long-term growth over the next five years and beyond.
