The City of St. Cloud welcomed its newly elected mayor and council members during a swearing-in ceremony held Thursday afternoon at City Hall.

Mayor Chris Robertson, Council Member Jennifer A. Paul, and Council Member Kolby Urban took the oath of office, administered by the Honorable Stefania P. Jancewicz.

Mayor Robertson succeeds Nathan Blackwell, who served two terms as mayor. Council Member Paul replaces Linette Matheny, who also served two terms on the council. Notably, Paul is now the first African American in St. Cloud’s history to be elected to the City Council. Council Member Kolby Urban, who ran unopposed, begins his second term in office.

St. Cloud City Council members serve four-year terms and are limited to two consecutive terms, ensuring regular opportunities for new leadership.

This ceremony marks a new chapter for St. Cloud as the city’s leaders prepare to address the needs of the growing community.
