Osceola Arts has kicked off an exciting new chapter in community art with the launch of a bold and inspiring five-wall mural installation at the Orange Gardens Community Center in Kissimmee. Created by local artist Deivis Sanchez, the project is part of Osceola Arts’ ongoing ARTisNOW Public Murals Project and is designed to celebrate community connection, growth, and shared future through vibrant imagery and thoughtful symbolism.

Beginning this week, Sanchez—known for his expressive and colorful work—will transform the exterior walls of the center into a visual journey that honors the story of the Orange Gardens community. Each of the five mural walls highlights a specific theme in that story, ranging from origins to aspirations for the future:

  • Wall 1: The Beginning features abstract flows and a radiant sun, symbolizing hope and the foundational moments of the community.

  • Wall 2: Growth and Identity is brought to life with a hummingbird among flowers, representing vitality, diversity, and strong identity.

  • Wall 3: Connection and Unity showcases a butterfly, blooming flowers, and an outstretched hand, symbolizing collaboration and collective progress.

  • Wall 4: Celebration explodes with energy and color, using butterfly wings and vibrant hues to reflect joy and harmony within a united community.

  • Wall 5: The Future closes the series with an optimistic vision of what’s ahead, filled with abstract shapes and colorful florals to represent growth, sustainability, and forward momentum.

“This mural transforms the space into an attractive and dynamic environment, reflecting its essence as a hub for creativity and connection while fostering a sense of identity and belonging within the community,” said Brian Camacho, Public Arts Coordinator at Osceola Arts.

The mural is the latest addition to Osceola Arts’ ARTisNOW initiative, which brings together artists and residents to create high-quality public murals that not only beautify but also spark dialogue and celebrate local culture. The Orange Gardens project embodies that mission fully, merging artistry with purpose in the heart of Kissimmee.

Community members are encouraged to stop by and watch the mural take shape at the Orange Gardens Community Center, located at 1114 George St, Kissimmee, FL 34741.
