Aztec gods are complex, and the mythology on how they created the world is mesmerizing. The pieces shown in this exhibition were inspired by books about the Aztec culture and their mythology, two of them are “El Pueblo del Sol” by Alfonso Caso and “Aztec Thought and Culture” by Miguel León-Portilla. This exhibition is an interpretation of Aztec mythology and the impact this magnificent culture has on the artist.

Discover Patricia Cavazos’ peculiar depiction of some of the most important Aztec deities and enjoy the colorful portrayal of them and the creation of the world thru abstract paintings, 3d installations, and quilts. For more information on works by Patricia Cavazos go to www.bycavazos.com.
