On this Flag Day, residents across Osceola County and our great nation pause to reflect on the powerful symbol that has represented freedom, unity, and perseverance for nearly 250 years — the American flag.

Observed annually on June 14, Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the United States flag in 1777 by the Continental Congress. Today, the flag serves as a unifying emblem for a nation built on the values of liberty, justice, and sacrifice.

Across Kissimmee, St. Cloud, and communities throughout Osceola County, flags can be seen waving proudly from homes, city buildings, schools, and businesses. While some residents are participating in educational programs and civic ceremonies, others are taking time to share their own stories of patriotism and remembrance — many inspired by local veterans, first responders, and service members who protect the freedoms the flag represents.

To mark the occasion, Positively Osceola has released a special Flag Day tribute video, showcasing breathtaking visuals of Old Glory set against iconic Central Florida landscapes and community landmarks. The video serves as both a celebration and a reminder of the enduring strength of the American spirit.

“Our flag isn’t just cloth and color,” one local veteran shared. “It’s a symbol of everything we’ve fought for and continue to stand for. It reminds us of the people, the principles, and the promise that make this country great.”

As Flag Day 2025 unfolds, Osceola County remains proud to honor the Stars and Stripes — and the people behind it.
