KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a DUI saturation patrol across Osceola County on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, as part of the nationwide Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign.
The patrol will begin at 7 p.m. and continue throughout the night, covering all areas of the county, as deputies work to identify and remove impaired drivers from local roadways during one of the most dangerous times of the year for traffic fatalities.
New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day consistently rank among the deadliest holidays for impaired driving. According to state data, approximately one-third of all traffic fatalities in Florida each year are linked to impairment.
“Mothers Against Drunk Driving applauds agencies like the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office who are proactively keeping our streets safe from impaired drivers,” said Larry Coggins, Executive Director of Mothers Against Drunk Driving Florida.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is urging residents and visitors to make responsible choices when celebrating the holiday. Anyone planning to drink is encouraged to arrange a safe way home by using a designated driver, public transportation, a rideshare service, or Florida’s Tow-to-Go program.
The most recent DUI saturation patrol, conducted on December 22, 2025, resulted in three DUI arrests and 56 traffic citations, officials said.
Authorities also remind the public to remain vigilant. Anyone who sees a suspected impaired driver is urged to call 911 and report the vehicle and its location.
Positively Osceola will continue to share public safety updates as the New Year’s holiday approaches.
