Osceola County is informing boaters that heavy water flows from Hurricane Ian have caused a new shoal to form at the mouth of Shingle Creek within Lake Toho.

The shoal was located one foot below water level as of October 26.

The county is also advising boaters to use caution in Shingle and Boggy creeks due to Hurricane Ian debris.

Osceola County is in the process of requesting assistance in removing the debris and shoal from the National Resources Conservation Service.
