The Salvation Army of Osceola County is hosting a Sock and Shoe Drive today from 9am – 5pm at The First Church of Nazarene in Kissimmee aimed at supporting the unhoused community in Osceola County. The sock and shoe drive’s goal is to provide warmth and comfort by collecting new or gently used shoes and new socks for those in need in Osceola County.

Proper footwear is essential for protecting against harsh weather conditions, and clean socks contribute significantly to overall, well-being. The community’s support is vital in making a positive impact on those experiencing homelessness.

“Despite the recent fire to our Emergency Service Center, we are continuing our efforts to impact those we serve,” said Andrea Ruiz, Director, The Salvation Army of Osceola County.

Eric Skelton, Senior Pastor with the First Church of Nazarene spoke to the needs in Osceola County after the Osceola Christian Center in Kissimmee was intentionally set on fire in 2023,  “We are thrilled to support The Salvation Army of Osceola County during this time.”

The church has provided temporary space for The Salvation Army’s staff to operate. The Salvation Army of Osceola welcomes additional community partners to work alongside them in doing the most good for the Osceola community through this sock and shoe drive.
