The Osceola Magic fell to the Motor City Cruise at the Wayne State Fieldhouse 130-113 Tuesday night.
Mac McClung and Kevon Harris combined for 53 points for Osceola. D.J. Wilson also contributed a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in the losing effort.
“It’s been a tough start to the road trip,” Magic Head Coach Dylan Murphy stated. “Our game plan and discipline were much better this game; they hit a lot of difficult shots. We will have to look at the film; we have another chance to improve on Thursday.”
Despite Osceola’s solid 41.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc, the Magic faced a significant challenge on the boards, getting outrebounded 49-37 by the Cruise. Trailing by as much as 24 at one point, the Magic were able to cut the deficit to 10 with 4:19 left in the third quarter. However, they were unable to secure a victory in the end.
The Osceola Magic (1-3), NBA G League Affiliate of the Orlando Magic, will face the Motor City Cruise, on Thursday, January 11 at the Wayne State Fieldhouse in Detroit at 7:00 PM. The game will stream ESPN+.
