Orlando Magic two-way guard Mac McClung is set to soar once again at the 2025 AT&T Slam Dunk Contest, taking place on Saturday, February 15, at the Chase Center in San Francisco. The event, part of the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night, begins at 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on TNT.
McClung, the reigning two-time champion of the AT&T Slam Dunk Contest, first claimed the title in 2023 with the Philadelphia 76ers and followed up in 2024 while representing the NBA G League’s Osceola Magic. Now, the Texas Tech alum is vying to make history as the first three-peat dunk contest winner since Nate Robinson, who won in 2006, 2009, and 2010.
Joining McClung in the competition are San Antonio Spurs rookie Stephon Castle, Chicago Bulls rookie Matas Buzelis, and Milwaukee Bucks second-year wing Andre Jackson Jr. Fans are eager to see if McClung can defend his title with another electrifying performance.
Signed to a two-way contract by the Orlando Magic on September 19, 2024, McClung has been a standout for the Osceola Magic in the NBA G League, where he’s started in 13 regular-season games, averaging 23.5 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game. He also contributed impressive numbers in the G League Tip-Off Tournament, with 17.4 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game.
McClung’s All-Star Weekend doesn’t stop at the dunk contest. He will also participate in the 2025 Castrol Rising Stars Game, highlighting his versatility and growing impact on the game.
Fans in Kissimmee can catch the Osceola Magic back in action on Sunday, February 9, when they host the Grand Rapids Gold at 3 p.m. ET. The game will air on FanDuel Sports Network Florida and NBA TV.
Additionally, the Magic will celebrate Black History Month, presented by Publix, during their Monday, February 10, game against the Grand Rapids Gold. The first 1,000 fans will receive a replica Black History Month Magic jersey. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. ET, and tickets are available at OsceolaMagic.com/home-schedule or by calling 407-447-2140.
