Osceola Reads has officially launched its 2025 Summer Reading Challenge, inviting children ages 3 to 5 in Osceola County who have not yet entered kindergarten to participate in a fun and educational reading program. Running through August 11, the initiative aims to foster early literacy by encouraging young readers to log their reading activities using the free Beanstack platform.
Participants are encouraged to read regularly and track their progress on Beanstack. The Osceola Reads team will review usage reports on specific dates—June 17, July 1, July 15, July 29, and August 12—to identify top readers. Outstanding participants will be rewarded with exciting prizes, including Amazon devices provided by the Early Learning Coalition of Osceola County. Amazon is not a sponsor of this contest.
To join the challenge, families can create a free account on Beanstack and start logging their child’s reading activities. Reading can take place anywhere, making it convenient for families to integrate literacy into their daily routines. For more details and to sign up, visit here.
Osceola Reads offers a variety of resources to support parents and teachers in this initiative. These include parent resources, teacher resources, and access to the MarcoPolo Learning app, which provides interactive educational content for young learners. Additionally, the program emphasizes the importance of early reading in preparing children for future academic success.
